Dear BBCD Members and friends,

We are pleased to invite you to our next event – a joint evening with TechHub.K67 on Thursday, 25 June 2026.

The event is called: Startup as an Expat: Grow & Connect and brings together international founders, entrepreneurs and business professionals to share and explore what it takes to build and grow a business in Germany.

Important: For BBCD members, this is not ‘just another startup event’… This event is custom-built by us for our own development. The intention is to gain insights from cutting-edge startups, to expand your network within a new entrepreneurial community, as well as to give-back to the community by sharing the experience and expertise you have built over years of business and professional life in Germany.

The evening will feature ‘World Café-style’ discussions: conversations exploring four practical themes:

1. Settling In – Building networks, integrating locally and navigating business culture in Germany as an expat.
2. Starting Up – Legal structures, bureaucracy, tax, visas and the realities of getting started.
3. Go to Market – Branding, marketing, customer acquisition and building trust in a new market.
4. Scaling Up – Hiring, funding, partnerships and sustainable growth.

As a BBCD member and (for most of us…) an expat, everyone has something to offer here. We particularly welcome members with specific relevant skillsets interested in contributing as table hosts, advisors or discussion participants. Your experience in entrepreneurship, law, finance, tax, marketing, HR, relocation, investment or international business could provide valuable perspectives for founders earlier in their journey. The evening will also provide ample opportunity for networking, exchanging experiences and building new connections across Düsseldorf’s international business community. This evening will also form the kick-off point for the FutureTechFest event being planned later in the year.
